Vertical Canned Process Pump (VS6)
Structural Characteristics
- Multi-stage radial split design with an inward-suction first-stage impeller. Axial thrust is supported by centripetal thrust ball bearings, and a balance drum is used to assist in high-head applications.
- The outer casing only withstands inlet pressure; its length and pump installation depth depend on the NPSH cavitation requirements (The outer casing is optional when mounted on container or pipeline flanges.).
- The bearings are lubricated with oil (via an independent internal circulation system), and the inlet is equipped with hydrodynamic radial sliding bearings.
- The shaft seal is available as either a single or tandem mechanical seal, equipped with a cooling/flushing/sealing fluid system.
- The inlet and outlet pipes are located above the mounting flange, positioned 180 degrees apart.
