Multi-stage, radially split, double-casing, vertical canister pump conforms to the API610 standard and is designated as the VS6 pump type. Impellers are arranged in a series configuration, specifically engineered for extreme operating conditions. The pump features a segmented long shaft equipped with multi-stage guide bearings, making it ideal for handling applications involving cryogenic temperatures (especially low-temperature hydrocarbons), high pressures, and clean media.

Vertical Canned Process Pump (VS6)

Structural Characteristics

  • Multi-stage radial split design with an inward-suction first-stage impeller. Axial thrust is supported by centripetal thrust ball bearings, and a balance drum is used to assist in high-head applications.
  • The outer casing only withstands inlet pressure; its length and pump installation depth depend on the NPSH cavitation requirements (The outer casing is optional when mounted on container or pipeline flanges.).
  • The bearings are lubricated with oil (via an independent internal circulation system), and the inlet is equipped with hydrodynamic radial sliding bearings. 
  • The shaft seal is available as either a single or tandem mechanical seal, equipped with a cooling/flushing/sealing fluid system.
  • The inlet and outlet pipes are located above the mounting flange, positioned 180 degrees apart.
